Stainless steel and 1095 Bali
Gentleman:
Just completed this one, hadn't made one in while. Didn't spend a ton of time finishing, she flips really nice, just sharing.

Re: Stainless steel and 1095 Bali
Very nice work
Re: Stainless steel and 1095 Bali
Feel free to go ahead and start making me one just exactly like this one....and send me the bill.
That is one incredible bali and great choice of steel. I truly do want one of your pieces of work some day,I love the "above and beyond duty" theory you have with your creations.
All your knives are robust to say the least.

Lovely, what type of wood are the scales?
I'd rather have a Bottle-in-Front-of-me, than a Frontal-Lobotomy!

Gentleman:
Thanks for the kind words, this thing is a tank its a little on the heavy side but flips very nice.. the blade has a slight re-curve to it, I left that area un-sharpened, it allows for flipping and making a mistake while doing it. The weight would probably cut your finger off if it slammed down on it as for the rest of it , its like a scalpel..very sharp. The scales are coco bola epoxy and pinned. I'm glad you all like it, Viking, as soon as I get some time I will spin something up for you, on me

Re: Stainless steel and 1095 Bali
Seems in today's world everyone wants things light weight as possible.
Just a few days ago I made a post about the new Benchmade Bone Collector and although I like the design the knife is just too light for my taste.
When I made the post I had seen it in person but did not handle the knife. The next time went went to the shop that carried it I asked to see it and the thing felt like a toy.
I know it's well made but I don't like knives so light you forget you have it.
I also like larger knives, knives with steel handles etc. One of my favorite features of your knives CC is the heavy-duty fasteners/pins/screws and heavy frames.
The kind of knife I prefer is a heavy, robust knife because when I use it I like to know I've got something "real" in my hand.
Bought a Lone Wolf Harsey Tactical a few years ago and the thing is a monster and I love it. The only problem I have is not the size (length wise) but is has fat micarta handles that makes it an "unfriendly" pocket carry. I spent the extra 20 bucks and got the sheath for it but I really am not into wearing a sheathed knife for edc.
If it had just thick stainless frames without the fat micarta scales but with that blade style it would be perfect....however it doesn't need to be that large,I think it has about a 5 inch blade and 3 3/4 to 4" would be plenty.
Looks like I bought mine at the right time- I paid 199 flat for mine and now they are asking 350 and the guy on e-bay is waaay off

Enough rambling,I will own one of your knives someday CC. Everything you have posted has been right up my alley-Thick,mean,heavy and nasty
