Imitation Horn
Can "Imitation Horn" warp?
The reason I am asking is that I have a 13" Imitation Horn/Bayo (Cheap Stiletto) That worked perfectly when I received it. After a few months in a display stand (in the open position) I took it out, closed it up and hit the button - Nothing! At first I thought the button was defective. It worked freely, like it does when the blade is out. I took a nail file and forced the tip of the blade out and it snapped into place. I saw some marks on the blade below the button. I determined that the blade didn't release because it was being compressed between the brass liners.
I took a screwdriver between the liners and forced them apart - It worked for a short time, but then the blade hung up again. I didn't repeat this because I was afraid I might pop the scales off the rivets!
Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Jeerbear I'm not too farmilar with 13" stilletos, but a stilleto's spring is a leaf spring (of coruse) so with so much relaxation of the spring may have created hardness on the spring, but it may be shoved back even mm (1/16 of inch) back at the least try fiddlieng around with a thin nail file and push the spring towards you, and try the tightening techinques that skm reccomends here's the direct link to that part of the site http://www.skm.to/bin/skm.cgi/help/page ... 4231102134
Hope this helps

Mr. Vagrant,
Thanks for the tip - I'll give it a shot.

Mr. Falcon,
I tried your Bird Brained suggestion - DIDN'T WORK!
Tasted terrible! Burned my lips and chipped my two front teeth!
Perhaps I should have used a "Crock Pot" full of Super Glue?

Re: Imitation Horn
The answer is really no. Imitation horn is basically a long
chain plastic polymer(just like all the other acrylic handles).
It should dry, and crack, (or break down due to UV) long
before it warps. Your problem is more likely related to
some mechanical issue associated with the spring, and interference from the liners.

Mr. Airhead,
Like, cool dude. Did ya get permission from mommy to use such a high class word like that? You must be a prettyfartsmeller, huh! I bet you have enough room in that cavity infested trap of yours for a dozen of 'em! I'm so honored as to be the only one here on the forum to have the exclusive right's to call you by your true calling. Your vast and extensive vocabulary is as refreshing as total constipation.
Best Regards,
Bonz
