BRASS Bolsters
Anybody ever seen Brass Bolsers on a older Hubertus. Whenever I see Brass on a knife I think India or Pakistan but this looks so German. The only Brass I ever saw was on Linder's just before they went bust but I just figured they were China. This seller has this and a 10in Slim both with Brass. Othewise they really look legit 1990's Hubertus.

Re: BRASS Bolsters
For a while, Hubertus used a material that wasn't quite brass-and wasn't quite nickel silver. It polished up and looked almost like nickel silver, but it tarnished and looked brassy.
A copper alloy probably with lower amounts of zinc and nickel.

Thanks Bill, so from the pictures would you rate them legit?

Dunno exactly how old they are, but I have two of
the 10" with brass (or brass-like) bolsters.

Didn't find any active listings for the Hubertus 10" slim
on Perry's or Apple Valley; and only one on AAPK.
Sort of shocked at the asking price..... last time I paid any attention to these, they were around 350 (which seemed really high at the time)..... I never even saw any in the
400 to 499 range.... they seem to have rapidly gone right
into the 500+ level. Wow.

Re: BRASS Bolsters
I have one I bought in Germany in 1991 with bolsters that appear to be brass.
