Here's is a picture of the stamp. I'm not sure what you mean about a collar around the button. I think this is a very late production knife because of the stamp and also this one has a factory beveled edge instead of the butter knife type edge on my other picklocks. I do have a couple of manual picklocks with identical edges.

I think the oval stamp is late production. Mine has a beveled factory edge instead of the butter knife edge I have seen on other unsharpened picklocks.

You know, I was thinking about the larger knives, mainly the 13”, 15” and 18” stilettos, and wanted to know if any of you were of the opinion that they need back-up coil springs around the pivot to give them a little extra opening power. Obviously the leaf springs do enough with the 9”, 10” and 11” knives. Some 13” knives open okay with just the leaf spring, but I’ve noticed the really big 15” and 18” ones are considerably slower in opening given that there’s more blade for the leaf spring to force open. Obviously you don’t want to over spring the knife or you might end up cracking the handle material from the vibration of the recoil. There was a custom stiletto from a few years back by Dynamic Knife Designs (DKD) that was an 11” swinguard and it had both a leaf spring and a coil spring. Some said it was oversprung but the handle material which I believe was made of G10 was built to handle the spring power. It also was screw constructed instead of pin constructed I think. With an 11”, two springs may be overkill, but with 15” and 18” it may help give the opening a little extra “umf.” Of course you’d need a much tighter grip and make sure you open it far enough away from others or you could easily take an eye out. LOL! Look forward to hearing some thoughts.
