I believe JimBrown257 had one of those a while back. Maybe he's familiar.

I didn't know that Hubertus marketed anything other than their classic lever-open pieces with natural scales.
Never seen a modern-styled Hubertus with synthetic scales. Did the Hubertus shop actually make it themselves?

They also had a carbon fiber type scale release model.

I don't know if any were actually made by Hubertus, or just made for by them.
The Z2000 didn't seem to be very popular from my recollection. Seems like they came out around 1998-99 prior to the year 2000....Hard to believe it has been that long ago.

Even if they have Martian steel blades, they were made in Italy.

I think it was also produced as a rescue tool with seat belt notch in blade, serrated, and red, black or yellow handles. Could be wrong, memory comes and goes.

Re: Hubertus Z2000 Auto Knife
I really like that knife. I almost never get anything other than older Italians or some American & Japanese knives but I did get that one. A long time ago I got a really cheap knife that I realized was a copy of that Z2000. I liked how it looked so I got the real version. It seems like a pretty good knife even with the plastic handle.

Images on Google search, z2000 rescue knife. Couldn't get pics to download.
