Tom-
Don't get rid of too much. You'll have a lot more time to fill, now. Congratulations on your retirement!

Hi. I also have collected all kinds of animal traps, mouse traps, steel traps, vintage and new. Got my first trap in 1965. Thanks for asking.

Mad Magazines. . . . .
I' and my brothers are Artists. . . . So Mad magazine has brilliant illustrators, with great caricatures of famous people.
We use them as a educational guide for illustrating.
You want Nikita Kruschev ? . . . . I'll show you a "West Side Story" cartoon with Kennedy / Kruschev as the sharks and the jets.
The OLDER Mad Magazines had a lot of switchblades . . . if you look close. . .

Birthdays. (This may, or may not, last much longer).

Re: What else do you collect?
Hand forged branding irons... two blacksmith display irons( they didn't like to do them, too time consuming, but when they did, they did display pieces larger and longer to hang out as advertising) a couple of "running irons" used by rustlers to alter other brands. Still on the books, illegal in some states . Out of town, no pics, but will try to follow up later with some later. Probably 50ish pieces in total. Hard to find now.

Re: What else do you collect?
Mr. Bill,
Aside from the guns and knives I adroitly covet, I have been collecting these vintage lead toy soldiers. Some of these, my Dad actually played with during the depression, and passed on to me. This is an old pic, as I probably have triple whats shown. The flag bearers are my favorite ones and I'm always looking for more. They were manufactured under the Barclay, Manoil, and Gray Iron names, and originally sold for .10 cents each, earning the nickname Dimestore Soldiers.
Best regards,
Bonz
