Mini Microtech Collection

Post by Jackalope »

I have always liked tactical OTF's. I made up my mind that wanted a blue Microtech Dirac Delta model.
After a few weeks I found one and bit the bullet. I wanted a black double edged blade.
I like the colored knives since I think they seem to hold their value or appreciate over time.
The blue one measures 9 1/2" open and boy does it pack a wollup!

Nice combo of sizes & colors. Looks like your off to a good start on the tactical OTF’s.

What’s not to like? All of them are my favorite. Great colors too!

Thanks! I had the red one for years. I saw the red merlot color and had to have one. I like the dirac model. After I had that for a couple weeks I wanted a blue one. I decided to get the bigger dirac known as the Dirac Delta. I love them all.

Yes and no. I use to buy vintage Italian knives all the time for a lot more than what these sell for.

Nice and I carry a UTX-85 or UTX-70 and the 70 is the best office knife ever! I've thought about getting a blue Dirac but don't care for the double edge. It looks cool but is not the best choice for EDC IMO.

I've been using my UTX70 S/E for light duty cutting for years. I know what you mean about the D/E blades but I bought the 2 Diracs just for investment. The colored knives in general appreciate in value if you can wait a few years.

I love those new Dirac Deltas, the new switch position is comfortable, very smooth and "microtech reliable" I've got two of em!
