1st balisong build WIP

Post by Charlie Mike »

I'm done for today. I'm not really looking forward to tomorrow. I hate drilling holes.

I'll call this one the Rust Bucket since it will be made entirely from 3/16" 1095. I just finished drilling .125" pilot holes that will get bored out later to take a 3/16" barreled pivot as a bushing. I started on the handles yesterday by drilling holes for the pivots. Today I started cutting them apart with my Dremel.

Bored out the holes to 3/16" and changed the profile a wee bit.

CM
Looks nice so far, a suggestion. Check online for parkerzing solution, there's a guy outta North Carolina that sells it for a very good price. He sends good instruction with it, its easy to do at home and you get a nice rust resistant finish.
Just my 2 cents
