help identify

I just scored a Hegedus bali. I am not familiar with the name but it ts latchless, damascus blade, looks to have mother of pearl inserts and brass channel handles. Can anyone give me more information on it.

Never saw one of these before, but looks pretty old. Did fin d the following link in doing a Google search. Interesting piece.
