My newest BM 31

I was so despondent over the news that the model 31 was being discontinued I just had to get another and do it up special. Today I got my BM 31-02 #08/50! This is such a sweet bali, 100 times better than the standard model. The thicker, milled stainless handles are rounder and tapered to the ends like my 43DM. I thought the handles with the spring latch would be a bit longer but I was wrong, they are the same length. The added weight of the SS handles are a plus for flipping and balance the knife out nicely. I"m a happy camper!

LOL Mr. Bigg, I'm retired but I'm getting some extra income right now so I'm stocking up for when it runs out.

NOTE: I was originally promised #13 but received #08. I just got an email from the purveyor and they are sending #13 out to me and return shipping for the #08. Now I'm a real happy camper. Two #13 SE Benchmade Balis.

very nice... didnt know that the 31 was being D/Ced... Carbon Fiber? You will have quite a cool looking set of CF balis in your table.

Na, I'm not afraid of no stinking number 13!

According to Benchmade they are NO LONGER PRODUCED. Chuck G. on the other forum says that isn't true. I guess he has inside info. Yup it does look like I'm on a CF kick for now. William Henry CF Lancet, my Typhoon, 31-02, and a BM 730CFD2.

Well, I finally got #13 today!!!

Took the opportunity to get some pix of both before sending #08 back.

5.0, the 31 series is only being discontinued for the rest of this year. It will be put back into production next year. They will also optional clips on the 40x series next year. For example, a 42 would be a normal 42. But a a model with a clip would be a 42C. (you probably already know this but I wanted other people to know it too)
