Post by Holy Kiwi »

Im not sure, but I think a BM blue box will work... costs less than 10 bucks.

The Blue Box Sux, get some good Torx wrenches. I stripped out my T6 Blue Box torx bit.

most balisongs use a t8 for the pivots and a t6 for latch or anything else

This has been my experience as well. They are definitely "torx type" screws (some trademark/copyright deal prevents them from being referred to as "Torx"), and 5.0 is right about the blue box--it sucks. See this thread: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showt ... ight=husky for the set that I just bought recently. I've also gotten the drivers from Sears which also work.

thanks for the info... the only thing ive found at sears was a t6... everything else was 10 or higher, so i thought the BM kit would be the way to go... I guess ill have to go to a real hardware store.

There was talk of Home Depot having a T6 to T10 set for sale around $8.00. The regular Rigid set is way better than the BM Blue Box.

I couldn't find anything below a T10... i ended up taking a really small pair of scissors, sticking it in there, and opening the scissors as far as they'd go and then turn them... kinda ghetto but it got the job done... Thanks for the help guys!

Or, Texas Knife Maker Supply sells a gadget with all the Torx drivers you need. Around 13 bucks. Might be able to find this tool at Home Depot also. Contains eight drivers. :D
