The "Payback."

Post by Bill DeShivs »

I have found some very nice, well made knives that are made in China.
I'm thinking about ordering them in quantity, laser marking them "PAYBACK by Bill DeShivs"- and selling them.
What do you guys think? Not only would I be appropriating their design, but they would be manufacturing them for me!

As fun as it sounds to get retribution. . .
It's easier for Chinese to sue you in America, , , than you to sue n china.

You would have to do it right. . . Make an "Object d' Art" . .

The Chinese wouldn't give 2 chits about it. Bill may as well have them do the "payback" laser marking too....Methinks this is a joke anyway.

No, I'm pretty serious about it.

They'd make a great collectable Bill. 8)

Don't forget to charge more for the engraving than their list price.

Why would I want to post pictures of my new design?
The Chinese might steal it!

A new Laser engraver ! . . . . .

Somewhere , in my house, on my "bucket List" of thing I need done before I die.

Is get my Uncle's Purple Heart Medal (still boxed) Engraved on the back side with his name.
Maximillian Strnisha , Medic, 158th Bushmasters
KIA on July 30 1944. . . . Noemfoor Island . . . New Guinea

I have a cloth bushmasters patch of a snake coiled around a machete.

Having entrusted my 7inch EIG picklock to Bill for restoration. . .
I immediately made a box of stuff to send to Bill to repair. . .
But realizing most of the items were "self-indulgent" ,
I was reticent to inflict the List on poor old Bill, who is besieged with requests.
There is a nice artwork data paper I made inserted in the box. .
But boxes and medals tend to separate. . . engravings don't . . .

And besides . . .I have no idea where they stored my stuff. .
my anal retentive compulsive, "clean this up for me" fussy Sister . .
has re-arranged everything in my house
in the 4 months I've been in nursing home confinement.
