The Italian ones are shaved down 'till you can reach the button. This looks like it was definately countersunk for the same reason.

most are shaved from the underside to avoid messing up the stag....

whoever did that one could have just as easily done it that way too...
i'm not trying to argue with you mr vagrant - i just think it's an ugly conversion....

I got my KC48S today. So maybe I can get this project under way soon.

The button will be flush with the handle. So I am thinking about not installing a safety. Any thoughts?
