Cutting Bar Stock

I found a cheap way to cut bar stock without investing in a metal cutting band saw. Harbor Freight Tools has a cut off saw conversion kit that you can mount an angle grinder in. I put a metal cutting blade in my trusty Dewalt grinder and mounted it in the kit. It was a little shaky, but a large hose clamp solved that. The kit features a cam locking vise on the base to hold the bar stock which is handy. In a matter of minutes I cut 1/4 x 1" NS stock into 8 pieces for bolsters. It wasn't exactly like a hot knife through butter, but it beat using a hacksaw. Here's a picture:
