An old friend passed away.

Do you want to talk about your beautiful country, family, or dog? Would you like to say where you went on holiday or how you arranged the garden? Are you willing to tell us you girlfriend left you for a(nother) loser? Do you have ANY non knife-related topic you want to discuss? This is the place!

An old friend passed away.

Post by jerryk25 »

I'm getting up in years . . .I'm slowing down.
A friend of mine passed away at age 75, fewer and fewer are left.

I write this to remember him, to tell others so they remember.
even thought he was a stranger to most , if not all of you.
He was a Mechanical Engineer,
He spent 1968 as a Marine in Viet-Nam, combat infantry badge, 1 star.
and a fellow Library Board Member.
and he liked sheath Knives.

How do I know you'll remember him. ?
Because of a funny anecdotal story.

Alan was the only Guy I ever met,
That could write "Train Robber Pistolero" . . .as a job on his resume.
I laughed so hard when I saw it actually on his resume.

When he was young, at an Amusement Park.
He would wear a black cowboy hat, and blank firing six shooter,
and rob a train full or tourists.
And a bit down the line, a Sheriff white hat would shoot him dead.
And he would theatrically fall off the half size park Train Ride,
into a pile of Hay.

attached stock photo off internet, not actually Alan. . .

Hi Jerry,
I’m guessing he was a very fun loving man. Thanks for writing about him. He won’t be forgotten.
