"Here's the Story"...

Post by Wally J. Corpse »

Greetings, Legion Of Fan-

Now that the theme song has arisen from thy TV memory archives-
Here's the story- once upon a time, circa 1980, I had occasion to meet the kid that played Bobby Brady...(It's the story of a man named Brady, who was busy with three boys of his own..)
Anyways, this could also qualify AS a Roofing Tales Of Madness episode, to wit:
There I Was, having met and immediately conscripted into the joys of roofing, an rather intellectually capable new pal. He was, at the time, living in a flat on SF Broderick St., an enclave presided over by a pompous Geek, and a known stopping/crashing spot for the vacant stare 'Deadheads'...he indicated that there could be others desperate enough to get paid malingering within.
On many occasions, eye would roll up to said hovel, and tour the occupants for employ..on one said marning, I was introduced to Bobby Brady Lookinland actor...
My capable humor associate and eye backed him into an inside corner, and virulently mocked him with quotes from his starring role..he became rather resentful, and did the duck and run..(probably had to do some lines with Marcia..)
On a side note- some of mine cullings for hire from the Geek house actually won accolades, one of my prerequisite interview challenges was to see if'n
the hopeful could carry a 100lb. asphalt plug from the bed of the truck 15ft to the kettle.. I was most impressed by this hippie chick that did so, and she got a raise...also later impressed by her singing talents, knowing all the words and musical majesty of "American Pie".

AS ever,

I just can't get my heard around Wally J. Corpse being acquainted with the Brady Bunch, a TV show that epitomized the "Vast Wasteland". Unless he had a thing for Florence Henderson....

Greetings, Mr. Natcherly-

During that show's run of popular, I was more interested in - the Outer Limits, the Twilight Zone, and the Inner Sanctum, however I have seen enough Brady Bunch to fuel a captive mockery of Bobby...the only one who was having a thing with Mrs. Brady was Greg, because, even prior to his hairdo perm, Mr. Brady was always in the separate office closet...
AS isn't life strange in that mine episodes at said Geek Dead house, I met many interesting characters, some of whom I exist with to this day, a few whom I introduced into the awe and majesty of roofing then went on to carve their own roofing niche of success, and have been featured in WJC Roofing Tales of Madness episodes.

Celebrity run-ins. . . .

Although I watched Brady Bunch, because in those days, there were 5 channels.
ABC, CBS and NBC . . . . Channel 13 Public Television, and channel 53 UHF antenna.
I spent more time in a basement workshop with a radio, or Guitar,
than TV controlled by my father.
'
The only reason for me to watch Brady Bunch would be to look at the females.
I can't say I was a Brady fan, nor did I lust after blonde women.
Too many blonde relatives. . .must be my genetic desire for divergence.
I always wanted Jane Russell, over Marilyn Monroe . . . Joyce Dewitt over Suzanne Somers.

I remember Mary Hartline, of the 50's TV show Super Circus.. . she was blonde. . .
but Bettie Page distanced her by miles. . .

My worst TV crush was Susan St. James when she was young with straight hair ,
when she was on "McMillan and Wife."
From time to time I reminisce about Leslie Ann Warren in the movie "Clue"

My all time favorite was Adrienne Barbeau . . .a tough street smart woman.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

I was friends with a few celebrities. . . Tonto (I walked his horses),
Miss America 1963 Jackie Maye Townsend. ( her husband was my boss for a while )
Joe Negri (Mr Rogers Handyman) was my Guitar Teacher for a year.

I was never in a position to tease anyone about their fame. . .
or maybe it's not in my personality.

Greetings, Mr. sammy the blade-

Eye am still about, malingering in the presence of another world..I float in to these Offed Topics occasionally, but there's not much going on here, a lot of geriatrics, no worthy word jesters, and no adversaries to be WJC vilified. Ho Hum...I don't care much about old knife scales, and certainly can do without that jerkyk25 toilet catoonage- what a waste of space..
Also, I got no happy b-day WJC, even after mine passed on 1/13, not even a kazoo parade. So I guess that's wherein my popularity lied.
It's mildly refreshing, ( like a shot of pink Pepto ), that you art aware of a void without your ol' pal.
