I'm back in Tijuana.

Do you want to talk about your beautiful country, family, or dog? Would you like to say where you went on holiday or how you arranged the garden? Are you willing to tell us you girlfriend left you for a(nother) loser? Do you have ANY non knife-related topic you want to discuss? This is the place!

I'm back in Tijuana.

I'll be headed to the shops tomorrow to see what I can find. (It would be nice if I could find things everyone would want).

The car is fine but wore myself out driving too many hours. I stopped in Red Bluff, CA to enjoy a 5-hour visit with a man on his acreage that is installing a Chevrolet V8 in a 1974 Jaguar XJ6. I took a "no services" off-ramp about 61 miles north of Los Angeles and slept sitting up in the driver's seat of the Jag. 10 hours (and a slightly stiff neck) later, I awakened and drove southward along I-5.

I have found some of the same stuff that was here last time. There's a whole bunch of old lock-back knives and a few Chinese-made imitation German gravity knives. a few OTF Chinese clones. The shops on Revolution Avenue don't seem to have much inventory coming in. What was here two months ago is, for the most part, still here.

Some of the China Gravity knives go for more than they are worth. The sliver handle ones use to sell for $10, but go online for $75+ No swing guards?

I haven't seen any swing guards that aren't broken. The China Gravity knives look poorly made they're not assembled very well.

Still in Mexico? Any updates of knives and fun? Did you go alone this time as I thought you had a friend going with you?

I could not find any unusual knives here. (They're mostly all available online in the US). I will probably never have a friend along with me as most are either busy and still believe the "old wive's tales" about Tijuana, Rosarito, Puerto Nuevo, La Fonda, and Ensenada.

Yesterday, I enjoyed a handmade Caesar Salad at the Hotel Caesar (where it originated on 7/4/1924) and threw four M-80 and two M-500 firecrackers into the Pacific at Playa de Ensenada. The 13-miles group taxi rides both ways from Tijuana to Ensenada is 22.00 pesos (about ($1.10). When you buy two bottles of 600 ml Penafiel "Limonada" (Limeade made with mineral water) is currently on sale at OXXO convenience stores for about $0.55 cents.

I could go on, but I need to go take a shower and eat breakfast.
