If you watch the Magnificent 7 before you see The 7 Samuri you'll think the latter was the copy. Still it's probably my favorite Western [but I seldom watch movies]. Without any comment at all, I have watched Zulu more than once.

1. Modern- Quigley down under.
2. The man who shot Liberty Valance.
3. High noon.
Movies about men that in a world of compromise, that will not.

Mr. Missaman,

Red River is the ultimate classic western, but then, I'm partial to all John Wayne movies.

Best Regard's,

Westerns

Hard to pick just one, so I will name a few:- "Unforgiven"; "Quigley Down Under" ( with its great co-star Sharps Rifle ); "True Grit"; "The Shootist"; "Lonesome Dove". Could go on longer, but that will do for starts. Wish someone would do a film about the Battle Of Adobe Walls. Tom Selick is getting a little old to play Billy Dixon, but he has a good 'Western Look' that I would go along with it. Tom are you out there, listening in ? Take care, and lets hope they keep making great Western films. Bigfifty.

hombre has one of my all time favorite tough guy lines in it-

Hombre- Hey. I got a question. How are you planning to get back down that hill?

Grimes: Now you wait a minute! I'm getting back down the same way I came up!

BLAM BLAM

Older guy: Cicero Grimes, meet John Russell.
