Bob (SharperD) Chopra Illness

Do you want to talk about your beautiful country, family, or dog? Would you like to say where you went on holiday or how you arranged the garden? Are you willing to tell us you girlfriend left you for a(nother) loser? Do you have ANY non knife-related topic you want to discuss? This is the place!

I hope you will all forgive me for highjacking Gloria's message and posting it here, but many of you know and love Bob Chopra. I'm sure any prayers or other condolences you would care to offer over on SD would be greatly appreciated.

Gloria sends her thanks to everyone.
The doc says Bob is "out of the woods", although it will be a roller coaster ride for a while. He was able to speak (mumble) some yesterday and was able to sip from a straw. He does have some paralysis on his side. Today he is not responsive at all. Gloria was told this can be expected... two steps forward one step back. They are monitoring swelling and another cat scan in the morning should reveal more.
So keep the good wishes, thoughts and prayers coming. This is a great community that rallies around a friend in distress.

With apologies to trumyth for highjacking his post over here.

If anyone wants to send good wishes to Bob, suggest you post them under this topic on SD, as I don't know that they will be seen here in any sort of timely fashion. Also, there are a number of benefit auctions being run on SD auction site (which were he well, Bob would probably not allow). I encourage you to visit there and bid generously.

I just learned about Bob's stroke and it saddens me. My prayers are for a complete recovery for Bob, and for strength and peace for Gloria.
I will push your buttons--please pass me your switchblades first.
