custom knife #2........#1 gets a little brother ;)

Post by mrbigg »

here is another small custom knife i ordered from little hen knives of saskatchewan, canada....
this solid little beauty is hand forged O-1 tool steel with micarta scales...the lanyard skull fob was not included....
it's just over 5" and is hair splitting sharp...feels great in the hand...
i have shown it with the first one i ordered from the maker Ron Leuschen,
which is double twist damascus and micarta. both came with custom leather sheaths designed for use a neck knives....
the new O-1 knife also has a belt loop on it's sheath.........
coments and Q's welcome and appreciated :D

I luv me some O-1 and that is a great example of a great user.
I have a good one to Ill try to post a pic later.

I really like that tutorial he gives. Alot of work goes into making such a nice little knife.
Very funny, Scotty. Now beam down my clothes.

thanks benny!

i really love it - got it in the mail friday, and i can't put it down!

sadly Ron has informed me he has recently had to get a "real" job, as the knife biz is a bit slow for him :(

i plan on ordering more from him, as i think you get great value for the money!
his prices are very reasonable considering the processes he goes through to achieve his beautiful work....

Yeah... his integrals are really a great value considering not many make them and those that do charge an arm and a leg.

cool stuff.

O-1 - the "poor mans laser".
That's much prettier than mine  I believe this was a piece of O-1 vs stainless. I had three of these one - O-1 and two generic carbon steel from the dump [O-1 W-2 1095 ???] Two of them "grew legs" :(

Mr Bigg
Knives are like women and babies. If you see a Merlin or Burn you say gorgeous or beautiful. If you see an art knife you say stunning. If you see a little switch or fixed blade you say cutie. Now if that knife was 15"overall you would say she's a beaut or thats one handful of babe you got there it would no longer be a cutie. See this is the only hobby that real men can use male hairdressers expressions and no one thinks twice about it. Capeche? you handsome devil you.
