SOG Arcitech

Post by boots »

I've been eye ballin this knife for a while, finally got one. It wasn't 5 minutes, I was looking for a band-aid, The VG10-San Mai blade is very sharp. I'm a lefty so it was nice to be able to switch the pocket clip and the thumb post to suit me. The blade action is very smooth and silent but locks with no wobbling or play whatsoever. The Arclock is a nice feature, the blade lock is right there at your thumb tip. Does anyone own one of these?

Great knife boots.

The San Mai should keep a very keen edge and I love the blade profile and knifes overall shape .
Would be a great user aswell .
What is the scale material ,Is it jigged bone or micarta ?

Yes, it's jigged bone with titanium bolsters.

It is a good looking knife. I'm a sucker for jigged bone. How heavy is it?

It's not a big knife, 8" open at 4.5oz.

These were made in Japan as a limited addition, but you can still find them on the web, but they are not cheap, I got mine from Horizon. China has been selling knock offs that can be identified with a laser etched logo and the thumb post misplacement.
