How do you display your collection.

Post by boots »

I'm starting to get a collection of knives and wanted to start displaying them. How do you display your collection, or do you keep them under lock & key?

This topic has been discussed many times here. Try a search for "display" and "knife chest" and related terms. There is much information.

I did a search for "Displays" and didn't find anything worthwhile.

Boots
I think its all down to owners preference how knives are displayed.

I remember a Johnny Cade display on here with items that were used in the film ie keyrings ,cans photos etc it looked brilliant..It was a member called jeff and I hope he doesn't mind me posting it.
Then there are the usual glass display cases ,frames with maybe switchblade advertisements ,drawings etc ,cabinets etc but on the end only you can decide
.
Me personally I have no problem dusplaying mine , because I cant in case the Police swoop on me again ,Mine are now safely under lock and key in another realm . :)
Hope your well

I can’t really display my collection for the most part. My pocket knives, autos, balisongs, etc. are mostly stored in plastic clothing drawers from WalMart. That includes one big three drawer piece with most of my boxed knives and some random fixed blades in stashed in the top, with the bulk of my autos stored in the bottom drawer. I have a bunch of boxed knives stacked up on a random floating shelf, on top of a book shelf, and stacked on top of three smaller WalMart drawers where I keep most of my unboxed knives. All my big swords, daggers, battle axes, tomahawks, spears, nunchucks, war hammers, bows, crossbows, air rifles, blowguns, etc. are nailed up on my walls.

Thank you!
Took me about 10 years to collect, and i haven't bought anything for the collection for the past ten years.
There are some from Rick in there. I gave the blades a polish with a dremel.

I came across this case on Amazon it's 1/4-inch tempered glass. I thought I would have plenty of room, but I guess not.
