Bird Beaks or Bird Heads

Post by Pachinko799 »

I always called them bird beaks but some call them bird heads. I like these and remind me of medici’s.

Nice. . . . I really like the blue pearloid.

I never heard them called Bird Heads . . .nice idea. . .
I've heard of Bird's head pistol grips on old cowboy six shooters.

I have a stag Rostfrei without the bottom bolster. . . .
it has a weird twin spring, like two layers punched out exactly the same.
Unfortunately it was power grinder sharpened once in it's life.
I cleaned it up a bit. . but it is no longer even 90%

Interesting, I do not know the history of these knives. Do you know the maker of them?

Nice little lockbacks, Pachinko. Here are mine. They're all a little different. The IMOP and the swirly one are both flatground. The black one has a double swedge. The swirly one without a bottom bolster is a little bigger than the other two.

Some folks call it a sling blade, I call it a Kaiser blade.
