Thom - that one looks superb. Sorry, can't help with the date, other than the obvious. My guess is that the bolsters looking like brass is just due to the lighting - correct?

Very cool Thom! The 50's stuff really isn't my forte but I think you could put that one around 1955 give or take a year or so. Also think it would be considered a 7" knife or 18cm which was the smallest size kris made back then? (question for you picklock guys) Rare knife as you don't see many small kris like that.

Jim, They are nickel/silver bolsters. I took the pics inside, under yellowish lights, and I am not a very photographer.

I would say more grey/brown but I am slightly color blind. I have problems with certain shades of green/brown/grey.
Oh yea, I forgot to say it is D-stamped, 2 piece spring and full brass liners.

It is a beautiful knife. I think it has been rescaled.

Probably has, but I'm OK with that. Still a cool knife.
Actually, someone I know thinks he may have owned this knife before. I am waiting for him to find a picture. The back scale with that small splash of white should be easy for him to match up.

I wasn't knocking it. If a knife needs new handles it's cool with me.
