I SCORED a Dalton Mini Millennium OTF!!!

Post by barshoo »

Sorry, I got lazy! I copied the title from my other site...

I got this knife from one of my blade buddies. It's a really cute Dalton Mini Millennium OTF!! I've only owned one other Dalton.

They are typically plain, boring looking knives. But for some reason these knives are coveted throughout the knife-collecting publec. I have lost count of the number of guys who have asked me if I had a Dalton for sale!

I assume, from the name of the model, that this knife was made in the year 2000. I could easily be wrong! If I am, PLEASE correct me.

It is 5 1/4" OAL, and it fires like a bat out of hell! It is a single action with a pull-back lever that is released by depressing the firing button, and pulling the lever. It comes with a mesh covering.

Anyway, here is the knife:

I live in California, so I can legally carry this knife! I have never carried a knife in the 20 years that I have been collecting.

I like Dalton knives. They have super strong springs.

Just an FYI, the blue mesh sleeve is original from Dalton .

That is what I was told. I was surprised that the mesh survived and accompanied the knife!

I think so, too! I am trying to figure out the best way to carry it in my purse (it is a little crowded in there...) without accidently firing the knife inside! I might reach into my purse for something, and my hand come out missing a finger or two!

If you know anyone who works with leather you could have a sheath made. I've heard those Dalton's are sharp and you don't need any accidents. Jerry wouldn't want you getting cut!

Keep your eyes open for a carrying case for eyeglasses..... check every store you enter; different stores often have different suppliers. I also keep my eyes peeled at the flea markets and yard sales. These cases are often the perfect size for a medium-to-small knife, and are especially suited to the OTF class, which tends to be flat compared to the classic Italian style.
