11" Folgore Picklock
Here's a piece I feel very fortunate to have. An 11" (28cm) Folgore Picklock. A beautiful and most necessary re-scale by our Bill DeShivs...

Re: 11" Folgore Picklock
Bill did a great job on this knife! And picking out some great scales, the horn has got some great character the top scale is almost translucent . What a great knife & Rare tang stamp. Outstanding Job Bill!!!
Re: 11" Folgore Picklock
JV, Would you consider the horn Brazilian or French? Do you care? Either way it's a beauty.

Hey Thom! I wish I understood the terms "Brazilian", "French Tip", "Primo", "Blond", etc. better. Just my opinion that it's all just prettier cuts from the same horn, but I have no idea really. One thing is for sure, is that Bill's choice in color seems very "time period correct" for this piece. On the left, is my original scaled 11" Edwin Jay. On the right is the 11" Folgore...fairly similar IMO...

Those are really close. I noticed that Walt has some 11" French Tip for sale now with similar back horn.
