Edge Company Bone Handle
Have had this for a while. Unsure how long or where I found it, probably estate sale. I have other Edge Company knives but they are all stilettos. Can't find any like this online. Any info will be appreciated. Large Stockaman????
Re: Edge Company Bone Handle
It's a KA-BAR Little Grizzly (Lil' Grizzly) pattern Handle. . . .
Except the two blade on the "Kabar" era knife . . (notice name spelling)
was called the "Folding Hunter". . .because the "Hunter" was a sheath knife.
The Kabar 2 blade folding hunter used to cost about $26.00 back in 1975,
add another $5 if you got the leather holster.
The handle design is not exclusive to Kabar, or KA-BAR, or even "Olean Cut Co."
Case made this type, so did Remington, and probably many others.
Who was first ? . . beats me. . . I have a Remington and Kabars, and 1 Olean Cut Co.
My 2 Kabars have that krylon fake shaved stag . . or is it called Delrin. . .I forget.
My Olean Cut Co has a red jigged bone. . .the Remington has a weird red swirl celluloid. .
I can't remember if mine have the lanyard hole.
I haven't opened the shoebox in many years. . .
Edge Co probably didn't need to file for a "contract license" to produce this.
It probably was sold by Edge Co in the 1990's at the earliest.
The box was introduced around 1992. . at least that's when I first got an Edge Co Box.
I never bought an Edge Co Folding Hunter . . even if that's what Edge Co named it. . probably not.
A Stockman is a 3 blade design, with square cut bolsters each end, with a slight swell belly on the handle.
It will usually have a shield.

PHOTO REFERENCES FOR KNIFE STYLES
every company tends to name their own knives,
and there is no "LAW" that says one type in the first designer's namesake, must be obeyed.
Blade profiles have been un-spokenly agreed on, like drop-point, saber, sheepfoot, spey blade. . etc.
The stockman has a clip-point main blade. . .sheep-foot second top end blade,
and a spey blade" on the bottom end.
But I tend to look at CASE or KA-BAR for design names . . .
