Miyabi Birchwood Dimpiles on Blade
Newbie here,I just bought my first good knife a Miyabi Birchwood and it has Dimples on bottom Blade. Just would like to know if this is a normal occurrence ?

Yes, those dimples are meant to be there and should aid in food release (at least a bit)

No way meant To be there. Its a defect called ZWILLING J.A. Henckels and was told that should not be there that close to edge of blade . Not a part of Damascus Finish! I sent knife back apparently there is a (B) run. Its like seconds and that it was not sold as a B .
To me they should scrap defected work ??? I bought through Google Express and shipped from Sur La Table out of NYC. I was so pissed i bought a Shinko Kurokumo R2 Damascus Gyuto 210mm By Shiro Kamo.
