These have a great "chopping bit" as well as a gut hook on the other end. Forged from 1055 Carbon Steel and made in Rockford, Illinois this "bad boy" should perform as well as their hammers, Tomahawks, Hatchets and Axe products. The Nylon/Rubber "hammer-style" grip instills a great deal of confidence either with or without gloves. The Axe bit is designed for clearing tree-stand areas and the gut hook for cleaning medium-size game.
Does anyone have any input concerning these Estwing products?
I love Estwing's quality and have been eyeing their "Hunter's Axe".

They make a good long lasting hammer but I know nothing about their other tools.

I just bought two of their Black Eagle Tomahawks (They arrived on March 5th). I have been enjoying them immensely.sammy the blade wrote:They make a good long lasting hammer but I know nothing about their other tools.
