Re: FS: NATO Military OTF REDUCED PRICE!
I remember these all of a sudden showing up in a few shops on 42 nd street in the 1990s ! There were no switchblades there for years and then these showed up in a few stores....
Re: FS: NATO Military OTF REDUCED PRICE!
Yes, so I nabbed one. Even though I was in my 40s!
Re: FS: NATO Military OTF REDUCED PRICE!
You bought this in NYC? Boy, things have really changed since then!
Re: FS: NATO Military OTF REDUCED PRICE!
Even then there were no real switchblades available there. But everything else was available. Probably was the Dinkins administration.

These were sold by a few stores mixed in with the other folding knives. There was a importer who sold them to the stores called Ko American Trading ( short for Korean American Trading). They imported the bell metal co models. They were located on 30 th street and 6 th ave....Not too far from 43 nd

Tom,
Thanks for the memories and the info. Actually, I miss the old Times Square area. In high school and later it was Disney Land for me and my buddies. It was a hot dog and beer at Grant's Cafeteria at 42nd and 7th, and a visit to Hubert's Flea Circus next door. Not to mention the porn and the knife stores. Ah, those were the good old days. Now it IS Disney Land. They own most of it. Born in Brooklyn, part of New York my whole life, and now I don't even want to go there,.. only if I have to.
Stay Well,
Don

Yes Don, those days are long gone. I grew up in Hollis Queens and took the F train into Times Square as a teen looking for switchblades. Bought lots of manual Italian folders, but never found any switchblades until the NATOS in the 1990s.....Different world now for sure.....
