Vintage 10.5" Rizzuto Estileto

Post by Gepetto »

FOR SALE
Vintage 10.5" Rizzuto Estileto, swing guard removed. I bought this in Mexico in the 70's and hated the cheesy swing guard because it visually unbalanced the knife. If I'd only known...

In any case, here are the particulars:
works, if somewhat sluggishly (as is common with the larger Rizzutos)
blade point very slightly exposed in closed position
blade VG+; unsharpened, no rust or pitting, just normal in/out marks, crisp stamps
rear lower bolster has a dent
overall, I'd grade good+

$75 OBO

If interested, please post a reply and contact information.

OK, I know I put the price kinda high for what this is... I'm as shocked as anyone to see what folks are paying for complete examples of these things. But, hey, no askee, no gettee, right?

Don't be afraid to make an offer, ok? It's an easy restore!

My opinion of these has been posted several times
I will say that your minor modification is a MAJOR improvent
It has made it "almost look like a knife"

actually I like it without the guard too. never even thought about taking one off...don't like it $70 worth but it does make it look like a totally different knife

Thanks, guys; I don't feel quite as stupid about it now...

As I noted in a previous post, I'm open to offers so if it doesn't have 70 bucks worth of appeal, how much does it have?
