Hey Vagrant,

Since this is the "Ask Vagrant" sub-forum, please tell me what is the meaning of life and why I should care. Thank you.

Respectfully,

Mr Grayblade:

I always thought I had the answer to this one and boy was I wrong. I have recently discovered that the true meaning of life is best found when looking into the smiling face of one's child. No matter how bad things go in a day, when I get home and I hear my 2 1/2 year old running with a big smile on her face yelling Daddys Home it just makes everything worth it. I'm sure as people grow the meaning changes but right now it is the best anwser I've got.

Mr Teddy:

I'm sure in 13-15 years I might have another view, but for now I'm her hero and I don't mind it.

The meaning of this small part of life is retuning "lost sheep" to the flock :D

SD,

I just read your post and the amazing thing is that while driving back to the hotel a few minutes ago I was thinking about the time my daughter was just a bit older than yours is now. I was leaving for a week long business trip and she was in the driveway waving good-by. When I got to the end of the driveway she burst into tears.

Regarding 13-15 years from now (or perhaps more correctly, when she is 13-15), my recommendation is to understand that it is a phase. My daughter went through a very belligerent phase during those years, but now at nearly 18 she has matured a bit and is no longer the nasty person she was a few years ago. It is hard to fault her when I consider what I was like as a teen.

Teddy,

I'm sure that I have a lot of surprises in store. Plus, I have a son that is 14. One thing for sure; kids don't come with instruction manuals!

In my bazarro world, to understand the true meaning of life, you must
first understand the finality and meaning of death. Only then can
someone realize how short of a time we're alive. Our life truly
passes in the blink of an eye.

feelin a little philosophical tonite,

Mr. Greyblade,

I think it's all about sperm. You did see Monty Python's "the Meaning of Life", didn't you?

Every sperm is sacred,
every sperm is great,
and if a sperm is wasted,
God becomes quite irate!

Best regards,

Bonz

The true meaning of life is that it's meaningless. Your born to die and along the way the bad outweighs the good. You bust your chops at a job you hate to pay bills and continuing to lead your meager existance. Thats life to me a real pain in the ass.

The meaning of life for me is my son returned home on my birthday :D

P.S., when he asked about his car, I showed him the "Burn"
Which in itself is an other meaning of life.

Hmmm, 18 and 14 equals 30 something. Still short of my age but beyond my maturity :!:

But did you tell him the Burn was YOURS, not his?

Meaning of life to me-
Do more good than harm.
Do something, your not here for long.
Friends and Family can make it all worth the pain and anguish (tho they are usually part of the pain and anguish too  )
