No updates. Diana promised to call if there were significant developments. As I reported, it appears that Al is finding it difficult to do things like participate in the forum. His medial situation has certainly slowed him down. i will call in the first of the new year. Don't want to appear intrusive into what is a difficult and uncomfortable situation for Al.

Thanks for the response. I agree with your timing. I guess there is no bounce back at this point for him, but one can always hope.

This update will look a lot like the last one.

Diana called back. There has been no improvement. Al spends most of his waking hours sitting on the sofa watching TV, although Diana is not sure how much he sees as his vision is not good. She bought him a motorized chair as his mobility is limited. On top of the stroke damage, a cat scan indicates he may have early stage Parkinson's.

I thanked Diana for her taking care of Al and also for getting back to me. I reiterated that he is missed by many, and she promised to convey that to Al.

Yes, this place is not the same without him. Keep good thoughts and prayers going his way. He certainly deserves better.

A good friend of Al's, Roger Bennett, sent out a picture of some of the folks who worked the Flea Market in New Hampshire. Al was a big part of that scene. I thought some of us would like to think of Al in this setting. He is obviously enjoying the flea and his friends.

Roger identifies the people in the attached as follows: "Happier times at our Flea Market down in Hollis, NH. On the left are Marilyn and me... then Al Sweeney... then Bill Key (Marilyn's ex husband and my pal)..."

Hope he's doing better but no news is better than bad news. He's missed by many here!
