The big thing with Beretta in the USA these days is their move. Recently they announced that rather than expand their facility in very gun unfriendly Maryland, they will be building on a site in gun friendly Tennessee. More recently they announced that eventually they plan to move all production from the Maryland site to the Tennessee site.

Misser Bongo,

I'll never forget the first Dan Wesson .44 Mag. I ever saw. It was inna display case inna local gun shop. There was a card lying next to it identifying it as a "Ladies Purse Gun." :P HO! HO! :P

Is that the one that your niece bugged you to let her shoot, and you thought the recoil would put her off after the 1st round, but she emptied the whole cylinder?

That's crazy! We owned a pawn shop back in the late 70's early 80's and the little Browning came in and I had my eye on it immediately.
My brother and I had just bought new Black Hawks,his a 10" 44 and mine a 357 (4 1/2 or 5").
Back then a Black Hawk 357 was give or take 200 bucks bran new. Well anyway I traded the 357 to the shop for that Browning. It was cherry and fired anything it was fed. We even bent some bullets slightly just to see if they fed and they did.

It's funny you traded yours for a 357 and I traded my 357 for the 22 8)

Colt made a dead ringer for the Browning except my Browning had a fat walnut grip and the Colt has a thin profile.
I'm still baffled about the name- If Colt called theirs a Challenger then surely Browning wouldn't/couldn't call theirs the same name. :?:
There was no model name stamped on the gun. Of course the magazine release was at the bottom of the mag, seems like they used to call it "European" style mag release.
I will say this,I had that gun since my Junior year in high school and it was my second hand gun and it made me sick to see the charred, rusted skeleton with the gorgeous walnut single-piece stock burned off of it. Still had a loaded mag in but the lead had melted out of each round and powder must have just fizzled out,the 10 little blackened brass Federals sit like hollow ducks in a row. I felt like burying it I loved it so much.

Here is the Colt-

Fly tape works well in the summer months! :D

I find pyrethrin is very effective too, and fairly cheap.
It works like Sarin, but only to insects.
Safe for humans. It's the new DDT
This is the magic incantation congress uses to constantly violate the 10th Amendment - "...the manufacture, sale, transportation, distribution, possession, or introduction into interstate commerce of such shall be prohibited"

Mr. JerrBeer,

I'm sure any lady would like the DW .44 magnum. Mine varies from 6 to 8 inches!

Best regards,

That pic of the grill is about 3 or 4 years old, I haven't had to use the tapes in the last couple of years, when I built the new house I had a problem with scorpions and found a product called Talstar, it also kills 75 other insects including flys, I spray the house and grill area 3 times a year and haven't had any problems since.
Thanks for the advise on the pyrethrin though, I may give that a try too.
