Hey Vagrant
I have a couple of stilettos that are suffering from loose saftyidess.I know the process of fixing it. A while back This same dicussion popped up,and if i remember correctly a couple of you guys yourself included has a little tool to twist the neck of the safety.Where can i get my hands on one of these.

Make your own :idea:
A flat piece off spring steel slotted with a Dremel cut-off wheel.

You can use a feeler gage. I used a piece of the thin metal that is found in a windshield wiper blade.

Slide it under like this and carefully (very carefully) give it a little twist. A little at a time and keep checking the tightness.

It’s a temporary fix, but it does work. Be very careful you don’t want to snap the cap off the safety. The only real way to fix it is to take the knife apart.
I asked Al the same question about nine years ago. I noticed this is a this is an old thread that predates my asking by three years.
