help with kit knive

Post by GASGAS »

Hello - this is my first post so forgive me if the answer is already here - I did try and search.

I received 2 9 inch stiletto kits.

1 fitted together and operates perfectly. :D

The other though has the following problems: :(

1. The blade does not sit flush when closed - by that I mean, the blade looks slightly open when closed all the way;

2. when i hit the button the blade does not travel the full arc and therefore it does not lock - this may be related to the first.

I swapped the spring from the good kit but it didn't make any difference.

Any ideas for what is the problem? Or tips to fix?

I had this problem when I assembled my mikov kit the problem was it wasnt peened together tight enough,if its peened too loose the blade will sit high and it wont open all of the way,this may or may not be your problemothers will be along shortly to offer more opinions.

Butch, thanks a lot.

The 1 that is good is great - no blade play, strong action etc
