the ebay problem... solved.

Post by simon_templar »

they are only cancelling auctions that say.

flick
switchblade
automatic
otf

terms they know about,obvious ones.

better to list them as BOKER,BELTRAME,HERBERTZ "LOCK KNIVES"

or even "talkblade penknife"

or better still, just sell them on this forum to other collectors.

If the notice posted on another thread can be believed, they are also requiring views of each side of a knife to check for a "button"...

This should not be a problem...Most paint programs (even Paint Shop Pro shareware version 4.12, a small prog still available on the Web and the last full-featured SW prog with no crippling) can mirror an image...

Also, as texasmad noted in another thread, the new catchphrase to list under is "conversion knife"...

Leave out all those politically incorrect terms, and use the "new improved" phrase to list your SB...and get rid of that button!!!

(I even see that texasmad has a Frank B shown in a photo on eBay, as a Conversion Knife, sans button...ain't technology wonderful?!?!)...

They zapped mine awhile back and all I had mentioned was "F. Beltrame #11,you know the quality" and had a photo to go with it. So I figured some ewe fornicator turned me in.

i got a few i wanted to sell via ebay, but i know the risks especially in this country.
if there was a section on here it would make things much easier...
why does everything have to be so "exclusive"?

Heya everyone, I am new to this forum but wanted to jump in someplace. I am just getting going with collecting these awesome knives. I had a nice italian stilleto back in the late 80's. My older brother had a good friend who's family was french. They took him to france for the entire summer while we were in highschool. He bought me and my step brother a 9" black switchblade, and carried them right on the plane with him. Talk about lax security back in the day!! Now I am itching to replace this as well as my balli.

Anyway, I just saw some nice beltrames on ebay as well, and the seller did a GREAT job of making them politically correct. Keep up the great work everyone.

Well, eBay seems to have deleted all "conversion knife" listings...

Must be someone tipping them off... :x

This is all that I found on Beltrame on ebay at 4:48 pm 9/8/05

Pretty interesting, this should really boost up the selling on the knife auction sites, it will be interesting to see how this effects everything!
