Need help identifying this knife

Post by Hoopsmcfly »

This was given to me by my great grandfather and I would love if anyone was able to give some more information around it? What kind of knife, where it's from, ECT.

Much appreciated ☺️

Ring pull stiletto, probably made in Italy. What year I have no idea, someone will be along soon who has more information on it.

Made in Italy.

"Virginia" was a brand created by two brothers in Italy, Edgardo and Carlo Siega Battel. They did not manufacture knives, they had others make them. According to some sources, the "Virginia" brand was created around 1961 or 1962. If true, then the knife is no older than that.

I believe that your knife is rare.

It clearly suffers from blade-peek (tip of the blade sticking out when the knife is closed). If you want to get that fixed I would recommend contacting Bill DeShivs. He has his own sub-forum here (under this one).

Very nice knife, love the horned scales.
It probably made in the Italian cottage industry in the mid 60s and then retailed by Virginia knives as Kilgar said.

Here's one in very good condition and yours could probably be made to look as good as this if you chose restoration ,some do some don't for different reasons .

Thanks for sharing this uncommon knife.
