Jay Blade that is sweet!
Re: Factory Buck 110 Auto
I think the slow opening has to do with the coil spring and the tighter fit of the blade, compared to a wobbly switchblade they are slower except for the 112, those are fast and tight. I haven't seen any problems with the buttons they seem pretty accurate to me. Keep in mind these autos are under the same lifetime warranty.Tom19176 wrote: Tue Jan 14, 2025 11:51 am I have handled several. Heavy as all Buck 110/112s but a solid knife. Slow opening....

Re: Factory Buck 110 Auto
My buddy had a 112 China which was extreemly nice, fit finish was on the money strong opener. Aside from the location of the hole in the blade what are the other tell tails marking it Chinese??

Have one and so far it has worked well but I don't carry it much.

Ain't nothing like the real thing. Depends on if and how often you use it. I had one I got from Stu quite a few years back and tried to fix it, started peeking and it ended up in the trash. I wasn't successful.

Bucks forever warranty is A+, I had a 110 that had the tip break off the blade, I sent it in willing to have the blade reground at my cost, they replaced the blade and buffed the scratches out of the bolsters and scales at no cost to me. I'll forever be a Buck fan.sammy the blade wrote: Wed Feb 05, 2025 4:26 am Ain't nothing like the real thing. Depends on if and how often you use it. I have a factory 110 auto. Overall, it’s pretty nice. Build is pretty solid and I’ve never had any trouble with the button mechanism. I know it’s not the snappiest opening due to it being a coil spring on a lockback, but lubing the knife up a little helps enhance the opening a bit. The old pre-2000 Cumberland Mountain 110 conversions snap open with much more authority since they’re leaf spring driven and are milled to a degree that ensures there’s less friction with the blade heel and backspring.

If Sam got a 110 from Stu if was either an old conversion or a clone. Buck won't work on a converted knife because the warranty would be voided.boots wrote: Fri Feb 07, 2025 12:05 amBucks forever warranty is A+, I had a 110 that had the tip break off the blade, I sent it in willing to have the blade reground at my cost, they replaced the blade and buffed the scratches out of the bolsters and scales at no cost to me. Nice addition to your collection Tkreil66 . They are nice knives !
I agree with you about the buttons fit and finish
Bhtton-Man , They could do better.
I like the factory one's i have but am partial to the conversions . Both dual action and single. Here's what I have acquired.

Get yourself a 112 Elite and you'll change your mind; these knives open with force.Mario wrote: Fri Feb 07, 2025 1:27 am I have a factory 110 auto. Overall, it’s pretty nice.
