My Microtech HALO II
Although this is marked HALO, I'm pretty sure it's a HALO II, based on the manufacture date of 3/98. Are there any Microtech experts out there who can weigh in?
Re: My Microtech HALO II
Not an expert but the Halo III has a tanto blade so this is a II.
Re: My Microtech HALO II
Beautiful knives fastr19 and prober996
Wish I would have had the funds for one of these ,they are just so nicely shaped and so well put together .
Thanks for posting them .

Thanks fastr19. Nice collection! Here is my other "good" OTF, a Rob Dalton M-6.
Re: My Microtech HALO II
Nice Dalton.
Here is a Halo III
Re: My Microtech HALO II
Nice! Thanks for posting. Does anyone know what the notch at the top of the blade is for? My HALO has one also, and the Dalton has a "shadow" of one, but it's not cut out.
Re: My Microtech HALO II
I think it's to catch the spring.
Re: My Microtech HALO II
Oh, that makes sense. The Dalton is slightly notched but not cut all the way through. I guess it's enough to catch the spring in Dalton's design.
Re: My Microtech HALO II
The notch is for the button to catch the blade in the closed position. I would imagine that there's another at the base of the blade to hold it open.
