Probably real scarce, haven't seen any of the clones for 20 years or more.

Guys, does that translate to any kind of enhancement in value? Of course, if it does, I've most likely torpedoed that by applying black powder coating. It was silver until this morning. :(

Don't think you hurt it any, not a lot of people looking for clones anymore but if the price isn't through the roof someone will be interested. Maybe not here but somewhere. I sold them for $30 in the early early 2000's but they were new clones. Don't know if Microtec still makes them anymore or not. If it's not a clone it should be marked somewhere.

It's definitely a clone.

Good looking knife Luke

I picked up one thats an outright attempted copy more than a clone .
It was some years back when I realised the real thing was just to risky and expensive to risk being seized.

Good click therapy for the little money I paid back then .

Nice addition to your collection.

Yes, the genuine article is quite pricey, Ian. Yours looks good with the contrast of the unblacked blade and the black handle. I didn't powder coat my blade, it was already black. Probably anodized.

In a hundred years these will be priceless. Just like Rizzies are now.

Just kidding.

Ian, I have one of those counterfeits myself. In fact, I have a bunch of the Microtech counterfeits and that single action snaps open so hard and fast, I'm surprised it doesn't break. Sharp as can be, as well. Was when the Microtechs were all over the Chinese websites before Microtech shut them down with lawsuits and the Chinese started picking on AKC.

Chris
I know what you mean about the firepower on these ,opens with a real" thwack ".
Luke I like the blade colour of your clone ,looks mean and looks like it has a kind of " hamon "on the picture .

It does present that image, doesn't it, Ian? Again, it may just be the lighting in the area where I took the shot. There's also a very hard "thwack", to borrow your term, on deployment. I like the blood groove on your blade .
