repairable defect ?

Post by Hank »

Hi everyone, some knives on sale, especially vintage ones, have blades that don't close perfectly. What's wrong? is it repairable?

It's repairable. Sometimes it's expensive to do so. The knife you pictured is not vintage.

Several things- Worn pivot pin, worn sear hole in blade, worn sear, worn sear hole in the liner, looseness in the pivot.

Thanks, they offered me to buy one, but if the repair is complicated, I think I won't take it

It's best to buy common knives that are in good shape.
