I wouldn't call that a "repair." It's a bad attempt at repair. Much damage was done to the knife.
While the tang stamp is unusual, I don't think it would bring much of a premium.

Thank you Bill! As to do damage caused by the spring, would that be the liner/back spring gaps and blade appearing off center? It stands to reason that would not be the original kick spring.

Look at the rear bolsters. Look at the liners under the rear bolsters. Look at the pin going through the rear bolsters.
They tried to re solder the rear bolsters, and they're crooked.
Button_Man, tkanks for the link. Your theory about Kobra being Turkish makes sense. Towards that, a bit of a discussion was going on in an FB group about the Kobra stamp, arising from the knife pictured. A group member who also has a Kobra stamped knife replied in the comments. He also displayed a picture of a tang stamped "Saphir" and believed the build of the knife was very similar to his Kobra. In Arabic, Saphir is often a boys name meaning diplomat. I also found that in Arabic, Kobra is a girls name meaning major.
Maybe there was an importer in Turkey who used those stamps and some of those knives periodically find their way here.
I like the saphirs aswell , but not seen many of the kobra marked knives ,and not many were picklocks .
Most I have seen are swivel bolsters with both bayonet and swedge blades ,and can have a mixture of stainless and nickle bolsters .
fastr19 posted a really nice group of saphirs a few years back ,he may post the pic if he sees this .
