F.B.R. Stamped Knives... Continued

Post by Highspeedsteel »

F.B.R. INOX/ITALY - Façonnage Brochage Rennais (French building firm) are from the 60s and still my favorite stamp to hunt for… a couple years ago, I never thought I’d find a bayonet but since then I’ve found a 20cm and 23cm, along with some other real oddballs. Still need that damn 12cm though lol. Enjoy!

A great looking group with a stamp I don’t think I’ve ever seen!

Same here hearandgone

I never seen one of these for sale when I was hunting french knives down and I found a few fairly rare knives back then .
I sure wish I had have found one of these though . 8)

I really like them all, but I am particularly drawn to the derby bolster type ones and the humpbacks .

Fantastic group of knives HSS ,thanks so much for sharing what to me anyway is a new stamp

Always learning on here even after 8 years . :)

Thank you everyone for the kind words! These are definitely Italian made for a French importer... kind of interesting, the pick locks all have "FBR ITALY" stamps with the italicized INOX on the back, while the others all say "FBR INOX"... the 28cm is a swedge pick lock which is kind of interesting and not too common either

Thank you, everyone... has anyone ever seen a 33cm knife (in any style) with the F.B.R. stamp? I've seen a 12cm (topless/derby) but not 33cm. I would imagine it'd be a transitional possibly if there is one but who knows!
