Thanks for posting that clip.
In Friz Lang's "M", Lorre's breakout film, he used a magnificent lever lock, probably German. Hopefully some one who is an expert on those knives, and who's seen the film, will provide more info. In any case Peter did not seem unfamiliar with the Italian version...

100%, thanks for that. I've not ever seen that clip. Good stuff indeed. Peace.

In "Arsenic and Old Lace" 1944 movie.
Cary Grant is the "normal" guy, good guy.
Raymond Massey is the huge towering ugly Bad Guy escaped Convict.
Peter Lorre is the "Evil Doctor" sidekick.
Raymond Massey (looks like Boris Karloff) has a long "Press Button" clip point automatic.
Peter Lorre is seen handling it later.
Funny Movie, 2 crazy aunts who poison old men and bury bodies in the basement,
a crazy Uncle Teddy who thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt, Cary Grant and his new wife,
discover the Aunt's brother convict who wants to bully them , who eventually is arrested.
Cary Grant discovered he is NOT a blood relative and not genetically crazy like them.
The aunts and uncle Teddy go to the funny farm, the evil convict brother gets arrested.
And Peter Lorre's character the evil "Doctor" escapes before the police realize who he really is.

The knife in "M'" is a Henckel leverlock. Henckel was not a knifemaker but a vendor of all kind of things. I have been told so Correct me if I am wrong.
