SharperDeals.biz forum.
A lot of TB members ping pong between the two.
It’s a really good forum.

It was the go-to place for picklocks in its heyday and it's nice to see some on there. They seem to have gotten harder to find online unless you are willing to spend a lot more money than I am.

The SD mentioned in the title is the Sharperdeal auction site. That is where the Edwin J knives are listed.
https://www.sharperdeals.net/

What John mentioned is another knifeforum owned by the same people as the auction above.

Can you imagine? A cleaned and rescaled Edwin Jay, starting bid $750. Get's ya thinking though. I really don't mind cleaned and rescaled as most many do. But, I got this problem with spending $750....lol.

I agree and unless these knives have really gone up in value in the last few years, that seems awfully high.

I wasn't surprised at the prices at all. EJ's like the Panamex Finecut that PortlandMike just posted strike me as often discussed but seldom seen stamps.

A mint edwin jay would run 1200 dollars. the pre 54 stamps like miltenberg Astor ethan53 panamex and ej will run a premium because of age numbers made and wellmade.this is only my humble opinion from attending blade show and gator show and buying and selling vintage italian knives.

your right on with your prices im surprised mint ones are not going for more than 1200 , out of the 30 yrs i been collecting italian stiletto the Edwin Jay stamped stiletto's are a very hard stamp to come by and like you stated not many made , i think they were only made in few sizes too 8-9-11.
