Vintage "EIG" 28 cm

Post by Peiper »

Here is my only EIG 28 cm. Nice horn on this one. This is the last knife in my collection. I started collecting in August 2020 and I really like what I found so far. Happy New Year everyone.

I have been collecting since August 2015 and I have yet to find one like that. Congrats, that's a really nice knife.

Peiper, That is a classic! Given the magnificent knives you have shared with us and your statement "I started collecting in August 2020", I suppose all I can say is that I am amazed. You certainly know how to find them and how to pick (no pun intended :D) them.

Thanks, guys. It may be a while before I purchase another. They can get expensive.

Beautiful EIG picklocks. The only ones I’ve been able to acquire are the EIG flat grind/swedge picklocks, none in bayo.

They definitely do... I might buy 2 knives/year nowadays. Switchblades of Italy recommends instead of buying a bunch of cheaper knives you sort of like, save your money and buy one far more expensive knife that's a holy grail for you. Those really are words of wisdom. I haven't felt let down by a knife purchase in almost 3 years at this point, although this is now 2021 and years in the hobby have sort of blended together for me.

Excellent collection! Are you set on that one size, or is it cooincidental?

Thanks, Luke. Everything in my collection is 28 or 33 cm. I really don't care much for the small switchblades.
