They’re cool knives. I wish I had picked up a few more from Bob when he first introduced them.

I love these knives too. I have 12 (used to have 13, which I think is the maximum).

Hey thanks Wippersnapper! that Red jigged bone,
They look to be a #73 frame? Is it a straight spring like on an Italian Switchblade? So many questions :D

John - I agree with you, should have bought more! The only one I have is red jigged bone. Cragar had the right idea - buy one of each type for a complete set.

Hi Jim,
A set with each scale would make an awesome display.

Hello Ian,
Good to see you posting again.
Thanks for your compliment. If I remember correctly it’s a reproduction of a knife made many years ago.

.

There seems to be more interest in this odd style of knife than I would have thought!

Earlier this summer, I bought a group of six knives that included a 1970s reissue of the 1916 Aerial --
according to Mark Erickson's book (page 29) only about 800 of these re-issues were made.

I'm wondering whether to list mine on the Sell page? Or do folks only want these newer ones?
I don't want to waste my time if nobody is all that interested.

I'd list them if you want to sell them, never know who might be interested, not gonna cost you anything but a little time. You could also list them on the Sharperdeal auction site.

I love these knives! I have 12, all sold to me by Bob and Gloria many years ago. One appears to be red bone but I don't think that it is the prototype.

There used to be a tri-fold color flyer that listed all of the different models/colors. I have one but don't know where it is. If anyone has that I would pay to get a copy of it. Years ago my wife stored all of my knife boxes and papers and now I can't find them. Oh well, they'll turn up one day!

The prototypes just have the word "prototype" etched on one side of the blade. Not the fancy Schrade etch like the others.
