7" Classic Leverlock

Post by RI_Shooter »

Massaro lists a 7" Classic on their website. It is not the
Siegfried style 7" Old-Fashioned with the visible spring that
you usually see. The spring is covered by the left scale, the
same as the 8" classic. Does anyone know of a stateside
source that has this model?

Welcome to the forum Mr. RI_Shooter
I have never seen one but I surely am going to look for one. I have a few of the 8" old fasions and really like them.

Look for more than one Claudester, and when you get them, let me know!
The 7 inch size really interests me for an EDC. I love the 8's and the 7 1/2's but I still find them a little lumpy in my pocket. :)

Misters RI_Shooter, Claudester, mr_edge, and whippersnapper......

At the risk of causing confusion where there is none.... I thought the term "Siegfried" style meant exposed spring on the face scale.... "Old Fashioned" meant the style of our briarwood forum knife (straight & slim).... and "Classic" meant the leverlock that has the more rounded, "beefier" build. The last time I checked (minutes ago) Massaro only makes one size Old Fashioned (8"). They do show a 7" Classic still available and they are nice EDC. Benny ordered one for me when he was Chief Acquisition Officer for our briarwood forum knife & it is a nice size.
If I'm mistaken, and there IS such an animal as a 7" Old Fashioned, I'd also be very interested.

Just wondering, is the classic 7" really about 7 1/2"(Seigfried) marked with the AB stamp? Those are easily available.

Like Mr. Floater, I am interested in a true 7" old fashioned.

I can't find what RI_Shooter is talking about. The 7" they have on there site is not the old fashion stye. I think he was mistaken on size and style. It sure would be nice though.

7" Leverlock

Post by RI_Shooter »

Sorry for any confusion. What I was referring to is the the 7" classic
that Floater mentioned. That's what I was referring to, and that's what
I was trying to find a source in the States to buy.

What was confusing is that on the AB site they list a 8" old-fashioned,
which everybody is used to, and also a 7 inch old-fashioned, which is
actually just a 7" version of the 8" Siegfried, with the exposed spring. It's I have no idea why they list them that way.

It is the 7" Classic that Floater mentioned that I'm trying to locate.
