Re: Safety on an Italian
whippersnapper, I did not want to say anything, but you are right. Could have bought a better knife for the money. But if he learns something by fiddling with it, could be worth the money.

Re: Safety on an Italian
My problem is removing scales that are pinned. See this thread. Let me know how you do it. Take pics if you can.

Re: Safety on an Italian
It just lays on top. It slides forward to block the fire button. It will be like a 2 prong fork that slide under the fire button. At least that is what I have seen.

Re: Safety on an Italian
I think the scale is just hollowed out enough to clear the safety and fire button. The scale just keeps it in place. The liner is where it all is mounted. The safety is just a slide to block the fire button. I have taken apart screwed on scales, never pinned scales, but I'm sure they are the same. T...

Re: Need Custom Re-scale
Try Jimbrown257. He is on this forum. He rescaled a knife for me and turned out excellent. Or just buy one already the way you want.

AGA N/S tarnish
Why do the AGA knives tarnish so fast? Is there a way to slow the process? Do you recommend polishing? If so what do I use?

Re: 11" Square Button & 13" Flatguard
I don't think it ever had a safety. I had the person rescale in horn. Can't remember the reason but said he couldn't add a safety. I thought I bought it new, and it did have the file work already done. But who knows??

Re: 11" Square Button & 13" Flatguard
Tthanks for the complements. Wish more pics were posted. Love seeing akll knives. The square button does not have the whole all the way through. Like the orriginal latama. As you probably know the square button and kris blade are first mmade by latama. The aga came with ugly chakt viga wood scales. ...

Re: 11" Square Button & 13" Flatguard
Don't know why, but the Campolins seem to turn that color. I guess I could polish it. My guess is a different mixture of nickel/silver. The square button is a Burn. That has never been polished. Thanks, I love the scales too. Bovine/French/Spanish tip horn.

Love the scales. Always liked the light green and tan translucent scales. Very nice indeed.
